The other night I was scrolling through the tv guide, and I came across The Goonies. One of my all time favorite 80's movies. As I started to watch the movie, my daughter who is 17 comes into the room, and asked what I was watching. I thought she was joking, but she wasn't. She had never seen The Goonies, and it seemed crazy to me. After googling how old the movie was, I then felt very old myself. It had almost been 35 years since The Goonies was made. As I was watching the movie, I started to think about XRP. Sometimes I feel I may have some sort of problem or addiction because it seems I always think about XRP, and I always find ways to relate whatever I am doing to XRP. I proceded to feel better after thinking that I am probably not the only one in our community that does this.
(Spoiler Alert, but if you haven't seen The Goonies yet you should be ashamed)
The thought of XRP came to me when Mikey started to talk about his parents and their home which they are about to lose due to foreclosure. Mikey and his friends then find a treasure map in their attic, and Mikey realizes that finding this treasure could be his only hope in saving his parent's home. At that moment, I thought of all of the XRP holders out there. I thought of all of our dreams and plans that we all have thought about when XRP takes off to jaw dropping numbers. I thought of all the XRP holders out there that may be going through financial struggles themselves. Maybe, some have had to sell part of their XRP holdings at times to make it or maybe even had to sell all of it. I do hope that those people find a way to stay in or get back into position. I would hate for anyone to miss out on what's to come.
Getting back to the movie, Mikey and the Goonies go on this adventure to find this treasure. They face all sorts of dangerous obstacles along the way including the Fratellis. A group of greedy crooks that made me think of market manipulators trying to scare us to sell our XRP or keep us from finding our treasure so that they can take it all for themselves. In the movie, the Goonies almost give up, but they hold their ground to win the good fight. Now, the ending of this movie shows the Goonies saving their parent's house with the treasure they believed in and fought hard for. It was at this moment that I sat back and smiled. I thought of every one of those dreams again that we all have for when XRP shoots up coming true this time. And that any financial struggle anyone of us has had is gone. We just need to believe and fight a little longer. Soon, it will be our time. All of us here in the XRP community are Goonies, and Goonies never say die.
