Sleep evades me these days. I've always had a lot of cognitive chatter, ya know, all those racing thoughts that can keep one awake at night. So often it's these thoughts that spur innovation. The "AH HA" moment. Though far from genius I am akin to the likes of Winston Churchill and Mr. Tesla who both mastered the Power Nap, which for me only happens if I stop and sit in one of our family room chairs mid-afternoon and within a blink of an eye I'm gone, if only for 15 minutes. Yes I'm an early bird, both early to bed and early to rise... sometimes very early.
Being early can have it's advantages and of course, it's disadvantages. We already know it can take a toll on sleep and who wants that one person who shows up at a party 30 minutes early before you've had a chance to get yourself ready? Annoying right!? But if we stop and think about this person for a moment... let's call him a "He"... why is he so early? Could be many reasons but let's consider that he beat rush hour traffic. That critical mass period when everything is going so fast yet it comes to a crawl. You're stuck there among many others. A sudden onslaught of people in vehicles all trying to accomplish one thing... get from point A to point B. You think... "if I only left a little earlier". Being the Early Bird, if possible, can have it's tremendous benefits, except for that guy that shows up at your door to find you wrapped in a towel, but he's happy to have beat the masses.
If you're reading this it's highly likely you are part of the XRPcommunity and if you're part of the XRPcommunity then you're also a Hodler of $XRP. This makes every single one of you an Early Bird in the sense that $XRP is so young. We are the few of a fast growing number of people who will with 0doubt benefit by being ahead of the masses. I don't think most of us even know how lucky we really are. I tend to want to share this with everyone I know, both now and people I've known for decades. And I have shared it directly and indirectly but few can grasp it. It takes a special person, a visionary, to have the faith in something so new. Or for some of us it came from one such person that helped us take that leap of faith. Whatever the case may be, we will reap the awards of being the Early Birds.
